Solidstrip^® Plastic Abrasives were developed by E.I. DuPont in the 1980's to satisfy the increasing demand for a surface cleaning medium that was efficient, effective, and environmentally acceptable.

The Solidstrip^® process is a dry stripping method by which small angular plastic particles are propelled against a painted surface lifting the paint off and leaving a clean, unmarred substrate.

Originally designed for aviation applications, Solidstrip's use has expanded to include ground and marine transportation, electronic circuitry, metals, mold cleaning, and other industrial applications. Solidstrip^® is engineered to have the ideal combination of hardness, density, particle angularity, and consistency that makes it superior blasting media.
